How I Keep My Style While Pregnant!
I’m nearly at the finish line of this pregnancy! I love being
pregnant and it’s the most challenging time for me to embrace my body. Keeping
my style and feeling like myself helps. I’m breaking down the ways I
sustainably, and if I say so myself, beautifully did it.
1.
Know Your
Style
You absolutely must know your style. My pregnancy style doesn’t
differ too much from any other time, but I will wear more fitted clothing. I
love a bump flattering moment.
If you need inspiration there is always Pinterest, Instagram, and
Tik Tok. #bumpstyle
2.
Sort Your
Wardrobe
I have a capsule wardrobe which makes it easy to see what I have that
would and would not go the distance. From there I made a list of pieces I would
want to add. I gravitate to more breathable, stretchy, smocked pieces. This way
I don’t have to buy maternity and most times I don’t have to size up. Comfort
can be very cute, and I feel like I sacrificed style my first couple pregnancies.
3.
Rent!
OMG, I’m I going to sound like a fangirl here! I tried Nuuly this
pregnancy and do not plan to stop. I loved being able to pick from a huge array
of clothing. They had most of the brands I love to wear, so it was a match. Here
are some ways I styled the clothes.
4.
Second Hand/
Poshmark
Shopping second hand is one of the best ways to dress the bump
affordably and consciously. Our bodies really switch up quick, so this is a
guilt free way to navigate.
Here is where I spill all the tea. Poshmark is always coming in
clutch for me. I am always thrilled to go thrifting, but I don’t always find
pieces that suit me. I have had a great deal of fortune with Poshmark though.
Poshmark Tips:
-
Know what
brands you like to wear/ brands that cater to your style
-
Know your size
with the brand you’re shopping
-
Always filter
the search with your sizes
(There’s
nothing worse than falling in love with something you can’t have)
-
Use Keywords,
Brand Names, Fabric Descriptions
Regardless of if “Sweatpants are all that fits” or you enjoy
wearing dresses like me I hope you feel radiant during your pregnancy. It is
such a sweet, short journey, don’t let the joy be robbed!
