Spring Crafts & Activites for Littles

 

 Are we all waiting on the weather to realize it is spring? We are nearly there, and here are some ways I am including my little ones in the seasonal sparkle. If you didn't know I adore crafting with my kids, but I know that's not the case for us all. I have a few ideas here that don't require a crafty hand. 

Coffee Filter Butterflies

Starting off easy, all you need is coffee filters, colored water, and pipe cleaner.

Just dip the coffee filters in the water, let them dry, and once dry twist them together with the pipe cleaner antennas.

Cardboard Flower Vases

This is probably my favorite of the bunch. We used this flower bouquet for some many things. I am dreaming of doing it again once we have some florals growing in our garden.

Paint 
Glue

Paint a vase in whatever shape/color desired. My three-year-old is such a pink girl, I have no clue where she gets that from. Then glue on the flowers and leaves. My one-year-old loved this craft, but the next was her favorite.

Floral Ice Sensory Play

How stinkin' cute and easy? We just filled a cupcake pan with flowers and water. Left it for a couple hours to freeze. All of my kids ended up playing with these for over an hour. Memphis was absolutely loving it though.

Seed Bombs

My kids loved making seed bombs last year for Earth Day. I decided to give it another go. 

Just roll paper, seeds, and water together. Then plant them and watch them flourish. (It actually gives the seeds a little head start, like if you were to soak the seeds in water.)

We put chamomile seeds in ours.

Gosh I really enjoyed creating this blog with my babies. They are growing like weeds, and soon we will have another little bloom. These activities invite conversation about the season, and they allow me to soak in my kids. Looking back at my other craft blogs and seeing how much they've grown is so bittersweet.
