"Let's Get Crafty" Fall Edition
This year’s fall crafts are stinkin’ cute if I do say so myself. I
hope you find one that you’ll give a try. I truly think these activities help
establish the season for my littles. Here I included some of our autumn books these crafts pair with as well.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Cardboard
Scissors
Dry Food: Beans, Rice, Pasta, Oatmeal anything like that will work
Construction Paper/ Recycled Paper
Washable Paint
String
Pencil
Glue Stick
Leaves, Acorns, Pinecones, Sticks anything you can find outside
1.
Mushrooms
As we worked through the letters of my daughter’s name and her
interest in mushrooms outside, I settled on this craft.
It’s my favorite of the bunch. It’s a cut up diaper box and dry
food to form the toadstool.
2.
Maize
I am learning how to instill an appreciation for other cultures in
a way my littles can understand. Food makes that easy, and maize being an
indigenous crop is one way we celebrate Indigenous People’s Day.
This craft is just construction paper, washable paint, and we used the eraser end to make the “corn.”
The book Fry Bread is another way we celebrated Indigenous People's Day. I highly recommend checking it out, it's such a sweet read.
3. Leaf Animals
This is always a cute and easy activity. We gathered some leaves
and turned them into foxes with paint and googley eyes.
4. Leaf Mobile
There are so many ways to get creative with this one, adding any autumnal outdoor trinkets. I think the mobile turned out be quite pretty with all the leaves Maliah picked. It pairs with really any autumn book. We read our book in the park and watched the wind blow at the leaves on the mobile.
I have so many more craft ideas, but these posts are meant to be Shortte
and sweet. I’ll share more as the season unfolds on Instagram. The coziest
wishes to y’all this fall.
XO,
