Beach Baby Essentials

Summer is coming in hot!

Every season the market of baby things is filled to the brim. Since taking on a more minimal lifestyle I try to be mindful of things we bring in. Here are the few baby beach essentials that won’t have you tide down!

1.   Swaddle Blanket

Swaddle blankets, specifically muslin blankets are my favorite baby item due to how versatile they are.

I have used them for newborn pictures, spit ups, naps, and as towels.

Which is why it’s a must have for the beach. You can have it handy if your little is not a fan of sand, or if they need shade while napping.

This pink daisy swaddle is one of my favorites. It is from Mini Wander.

They so kindly sponsored this blog post. This is a full circle moment for me, as I had the blue daisy swaddle for my first daughter. The light muslin material makes them perfect for summer weather.

2.   Sunscreen

I feel like this is the no brainer, but double check before leaving. If you do happen to leave it, you can always keep baby protected with the swaddle.

3.   Swimwear

Another obvious essential, but I wanted to note I only purchase two swimsuits for my children. I usually do a rash guard style and then one with less UV protection. I would rather get plenty use out of the few they have than purchase too many. That also goes for sandals, sunhats, and sunglasses. I try to pick neutral/colors that suit their wardrobe. As well as choosing materials that will last the whole season.

4.   Swim Diapers

We take the disposable swim diaper route. I tried the reusable with my first baby and ended up with a swim class blowout. I think it’s a get sustainable option to try out.

5.   Beach Toys

A few age-appropriate beach toys me for beautiful memories.  A cool hack I saw another family do was put the baby in a float with the toys to play. If you don't have a strong sitter just yet it's perfect! My daughter is quite young to really enjoy the water. She is an expert sitter though, so the toys engaged her in the novelty of the sand. She had so much fun, and the seashell teether (while not a necessity) was a perfect addition.

I hope this blog helps y’all maximize the purpose and use of items this summer.

With a little creativity and intention, we can make amazing memories without overspending.

Take care y’all!

XO,

Thanks again to Mini Wander for collaborating with me! They make such cute and soft swaddles for all babies.
