Sundae Scoop #7

Tulip thumbprints!

Okay thumbprints are not the prettiest cookies, but they taste so good. I love that you can use any filling you want, and it becomes a new cookie. Here’s the recipe!

Thumbprint Cookies

1 Egg Yolk

½ Cup Unsalted Butter

½ tsp Vanilla Extract

1/8 tsp Salt

1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar

1 Cup All Purpose Flour

¼ Cup Strawberry Jam

( I also added white chocolate.)

Directions:

1.       Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2.       In mixing bowl add flour and salt, set aside

3.       In another bowl cream butter and sugar

4.       Add the egg yolk and vanilla until incorporated

5.       Slowly add flour mix

6.       Roll dough into balls (It will be crumbly.)

7.       Press your thumb or the back of teaspoon in the balls to make a dent.

8.       Place in refrigerator to chill for about an hour.

9.       Bake for about 12 minutes.

10.   As soon as you pull them out redo the dent and let them cool.

11.   Add filling of choice, decorate, and enjoy!

XO,
