Dinosaur Toddler Room

We move soon, and I can NOT contain my excitement. I could talk on and on about the home building process, but this blog is dedicated to a special boy.

Being a military family, we have moved a lot, and Micah struggled with night terrors. Which is why I want this new room to be a dream for him. I also want it to be easy to clean up. I have a fifteen-minute clean rule.

I am no interior designer, but I can do a little something, something. Micah is obsessed with dinosaurs. He loves colors, books, and jumping off the bed like a superhero.

Here is my simple process,

  1. I wrote down the top things I wanted his space to have, and budget. I am seeking to be a minimalist, so not too much.
  2. Pinterest, you knew it! I look up inspiration or ideas on how to put things together. (I also do a bunch of pills of Instagram, if you are not following me there, join the party sis!)
  3. I started with the most important part. The bed! I had been eyeing this perfectly, neutral dinosaur duvet from H&M for a while. (I caught it 25% off w/ free shipping.)
  4. I built from there. Screenshot and save things I bought, made, or would like to.
  5. Added them to the mood board. I used a random template on Canva, that made it simple.
  6. Lastly, and most important, protect your finances. Wait for sales, DIY, and check out small shops!

I hope this inspires you to plan out your space. Do not feel you have to buy everything at once. Spaces are ever changing, there is no rush in homemaking. I know I cannot wait to see dinosaur stomps, and superhero runs all over this room.

XO,

P.S. Come back for the room reveal blog!
